Here is some of my shibas everyday things which drive me insane sometimes.
1. The living room is officially a Shiba Agility Course. He runs around the livings jumping over things like the couch ends and leaps off the dining room platform steps about 20 to 30 times at a superfast speed. I'm going to catch this on video one day.
2. Steals my socks and hides them. 2a. Licks my feet and the back of my legs.
3. Wants to go outside every 20 minutes. Will sit at the sliding doors pawing at it and making tick sounds with his nails until let out.
4. Will attack your ears with licks if you fall asleep when he's not asleep.
5. Likes to get mouthy with me all the time and looks at me like I'm crazy if I tell him to stop.
6. Likes to pull lint out of the carpet creases on the stairs.
7. Chews small rubber anythings like it was a piece of bubble gum. This is so funny because he looks like one of those kids that chew and smack on bubble gum really hard.
8. Opens all doors that are not tightly secured and enters the room and takes over.
9. Hides all his treats which resemble bones in hidden corners, closets, couch creases, backyard, and other places. I find a half eaten treat in the wierdest places.
10. Finally, want to play 20 hours a day. Brings his toy of the moment (has over 10 toys) and just flings it at me and sit there and stares at the toy then me. I try to pick it up to play and he attacks it and takes it away. This process is repeated over and over and over again. I need to take my vitamins after 30 minutes of this. lol.
Baku does some similar things as mentioned above. He's also fairly recently picked up the habit of jumping up on the couch, sitting next to me, and then just deliberately pawing my arm-- as if to say, "It is time to pet me now." I'll give his shoulder a scratch and then stop. Immediately he paws my arm again. "You are not done yet!" He's such a shiba!
Kuma likes to look in the oven door and see his reflection and then bark at it. Kitsune and Hoshi like to like lotion off our hands and when we put lotion on our legs they can smell it and will push up our pant legs to lick.
Ginger likes to jump on the back of sofa and walk along like a little mountain goat to "groom" guests. She likes to sniff people's hair, rub her face in it, etc. So weird, lol.
My shiba walks the sofa back too. LOL. These shibas are all alike...hahahaha. Super clone job. I only listed the TOP 10 for my shiba, but looking at everyone else comments and I see my shiba doing the exact things. I can write a book on how many crazy things my shiba has done.
Luckily with two pups most of the crazy gets takn out on eachother. But when they are playfighting they will wrestle eachother and when takeo realises that im sitting on the couch watching he will start crying then jump on my lap to 'cuddle'. Then koyuki will sookily lay down at my feet and takeo will POUNCE on her from above and look up at me like "did you see me mum! I got her good!" Its crazy to watch!

During let loose time, he runs around the house like a speed demon. One of his favorite is running behind the couch upstairs and out then towards the stairs until I say "Ginkoooo!" and he'd run back and behind the couch again and out...he'd do that approx 3 times then runs down stairs the 3rd time.
He sometimes bites in between the bars of his pen when he wants attention and somehow gets his muzzle/teeth stuck. You can hear the yelping as he tries to pull it out.
He loves stealing shoes and paper...somehow he always finds a crunched up tissue paper lying around.
Suki sits on the sofa next to me at night but only if I put the brown crinkly cushion down for her and 30 mins later she gets down, humps hubby's right leg (she's never gone for his left one and doesn't hump anyone else), does a shiba 500 round the living room then climbs back onto 'her' cushion, relaxes her tail and goes to sleep.
She's also a coffee addict - if anyone puts a cup down she'll stick her nose in and lick it but she's not interested in tea
@dorapoch basically what you described in your other post lol. They run like crazy speedy demons.
Apollo does this too, pretty much every night about an hour or so before bedtime. I think it's how he gets in his last amount of playtime and energy before sleeping. His Shiba 500 is hilarious because we recently replaced our carpet with hardwood, so he had to get used to the slippery new surface. He scrunches up his body and his ears go flat so he's more aerodynamic. He loves sliding under the playroom couch, then coming back out after a well-timed turn.
He used to run behind the couch and stick himself under it, then howl and bark like crazy. We've since banned him from behind the couch because of all the dust and all the toys he tends to lose under there ):
Also, whenever Apollo starts yawning, I copy him and open my mouth, and then he immediately stops and watches me in confusion. His mouth closes right back up because he doesn't even finish his yawn LOL.
I swear lotion is crack to Foxy! I cannot ever put it on without her all over me trying to get to it to lick it off. I just got some new stuff and wanted to try it out and relax after work. Not so relaxing having to fend her off of me. Yikes!!
I would say the funniest thing that hiro does is bring a toy to you whenever he thinks i am about to leave, it's so cute and he really is very good at making me feel bad.
Regarding the above video: Evidently Akiva is howling with happiness...he doesn't think his little monkeyboy is dying... Catch the part where my husband says, 'that was really weak, babe'
Umi will try to steal our socks and shoes as we put them on in the morning to go to work. I guess she knows it means we are heading out and she probably isn't. It's pretty cute. She also buries treats and bones all over the place, including in her bed - but if we see her doing it, she will move the item to another hiding spot.
Toby likes to do a house inspection around 2:30 am every morning wouldn't mind but he is too scared to do it on his own so he will sit at my bedroom door and whine until I go around the house with him to check everything out.
Lol mine are typical shibas with the 500, the licking guests from the back of the couch ect. Right now the silliest thing they do is when I come home Saru comes to me and want's attentions/play time and Hime will get jealous and bark and cut in on Saru's attention. But as soon as I go to give her attention she just runs away, then I give attention to Saru and it repeats for about 3 or so minutes. They are so cute!!
Do many Shibas play "keep away"? Ponta comes up to me with a ball or other toy, drops it, and stands over it--daring me to try to get it. If I do, he snaps it up--and then, when I withdraw, he drops it again. Rinse and repeat. He loves doing that.
Here's the weirdest thing Tojo ever did: He would open the drawer under the oven and pull out pot lids, then carry them around the apartment in his mouth. Once he took three lids into the bedroom and arranged them in a triangle on our bed.
He also painstakingly picked all the keys off the laptop keyboard once. He and Hester the cat would also work together on many misadventures. Hester liked to open cupboard, the fridge, and the freezer, then knock things onto the floor. Tojo would rip them open and then they'd share the goods.
Let's see... he also used to pull the little booties off of Isaac's feet when he was a baby.
And, of course, he did all the standard shiba stuff! Shiba 500, sitting on the back of the couch, cleaning himself like a cat, and so on.
This behavior just started, I have a little a-hole of a Shiba apparently LOL. Normally I will get right up (or grumble for 5mins before getting up) at 6:30am when Tsune wakes up. But lately I've been a little sick and exhausted to boot. So one day it was 6:30 and I didn't want to get up right away, so I shut my door so that Tsune would stay in my room and not beat on anyone else's door. After some complaining he went back to bed for an hour, then tried to wake me up again. When I ignored him he got his fox toy and threw it at me from next to my bed rofl, then I threw it across the room so he could chase it and play with it. Then he came back after 5mins and threw it at me again (grabs in teeth and flips his head so it lands on me, he's pretty accurate somehow). I ignored it and tried to sleep. So he then jumps on my bed, picks up his fox, and drops it on my face, waits a few seconds, then gives a little sharp "Yip" and stares at me. I'm still not waking up (I sleep like a log when exhausted). So then he hops on the floor and pulls all the blankets and comforter off of me lmao, at that point I figured it was less tiring to just take him for a walk and play for a bit before taking a nap. :P
Kobe's pretty "standard" at the moment. Other than "loving" one particular toy on occasion, he just drops toys to play fetch with at our feet and paws at our legs / feet until we play.
Juni is absolutely lousy at carrying things. She looks hilarious when she picks something up and juggles with it while skipping and hopping and inevitably drops it within a couple of steps. Earlier she wouldn't touch a treat or a toy if I put it on a chair or a cupboard handle or similar so I've actually encouraged her to be bolder. First day when we took her home she saw her reflection in the mirror and freaked out. After barking at it she tried to play with it. So cute.
Oh, this is another pretty weird thing that Marou did... He stood up from sleeping (i think we was sleep walking), he took 2 wobbly steps, sat down and started peeing, he barely had his eyes open. It was SO funny because the pee was shooting up near his face from in between his front legs!
Maya really likes to lick our blanket cover. I tried giving her another blanket or a towel, but she just ignores all the other ones. Maybe it's the higher thread count, our smell or the feathers underneath that makes it unique. It's kind of gross, since I can't wash the blanket under the cover and she'll get it all wet. She rarely wants to come up to the bed to cuddle with us, so it's hard for us to ask her to leave. :p
