You know, I don't even remember that dog at the dog park. But I'm guessing it's a newfoundland too. lol
Yeah more Miyuki spam is always wanted. Since we have kiba going over, and guts going under, if you could possibly get a pic of Miyuki running straight through a dog, that would be great!
Wonderful thread, and great comparison shots. I hope you all stick around the forum for a long, long time so we can continue to watch these littermates grow and change. =)
Your shibas are so beautiful!! It's great to know they're half siblings of Milla :)
I just read some of your threads regarding pickiness with food. Milla will simply not eat kibble. I tried Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's Soul that Pam gave me, and also gave my pup some Wellness puppy and TOTW Pacific to try, but like with CSPLS, she left those in the kitchen floor.
The only way she will eat kibble is if i mix it with a bit of rice, water and canned food. Is this normal?
Ginger, I don't know if its normal. But Guts is very picky and isn't very food motivated. He gets raw and orijen puppy. He doesn't always eat. Actually I've given him table scraps and he has refused them. I know kiba also had an eating problem at a point but got over it. Miyuki also has eating issues, there is a thread about that.
All 3 dogs vary in size. Miyuki 14lbs, Guts 18lbs, and Kiba 22 lbs. Kiba is also a tall shiba.
We are in puppy class with one of Mikas sisters...Mika is 16 pounds, and the sister is maybe 10 pounds. I'll take a pic or video sunday when we go again
Ohh, its cool to see Miyuki again :D. But yeah they all do look alike. Pretty neat they all turn out so similar.
Anyways, Jan 28th (This Saturday) is their first birthday and my girlfriend is already planning a trip to the dog park and some other things to celebrate. Not sure if you guys knew the date but just FYI if you wanted to plan something as well.
Kiba still doesn't really like dog food....dry, canned...still snubs the stuff. He does like raw though but we haven't given it to him in a while. We've been mainly feed him cooked chicken + rice and he seems to do pretty well on it so we've been keeping at it. We still leave some kibble out for him but he only eats it if he's out of his chicken/rice combo and even then its probably 1/8th cup at a time or less.
Not sure if he's gained some weight since the last weigh-in but if he does look a big fuller than before...might be the winter coat though.
Those are some Great pics of Kiba, he's looking really good. Too bad we all live so far apart, I'm sure Guts would love to see his siblings. And judging by the old dog park pics of Kiba, him and Guts would get along very well.
And Yep I remembered Guts's birthday is coming up. It also happens to be mine and my friends anniversary(Guts's mom). Sadly I have to work Saturday, so I'll have to celebrate on Monday. Dog Park, and I guess I'll buy him a new toy and get him a nice treat.
Yup! I have things all planned out for Miyuki's birthday. Some play time at the dog park, a nice little doggie cupcake from Sprinkles, and new toys/treat/ect. Then she gets to go sleep over at her friend's house!
Kiba looks so similar to Guts & Mew!! Adorable. I love seeing their progress!
Miyuki makes that face at me a lot! :P Cute, Kiba!! Looks like he enjoyed himself for his birthday. Miyuki sure did as well; she's been sleeping all day to recover from her festivities!
Thanks for all the birthday wishes! It was also Kiba and Miyuki's bday too. So happy birthday Kiba! Happy Birthday Miyuki!
Guts had a playdate with a few other Shibas from the forum yesterday to celebrate his bday. Lucy came along and gave him a bag of treats. Tigerlily also came along, with her shiba friend Dexter.
