    Sigh. Why can't he be in Texas! I would grab him in a heartbeat. Too bad they won't let me travel up there and bring him home ;)

    I bet if someone is really interested we could figure out a way to get some sort of transport going for this pup.

    I think the write-up on the little guy says that they only adopt out to folks in their immediate area.

    i have a question about long haired shibas (not trying to steal the thread) but are they purebred or are they a cross with something else? i mean they seem so have all the qualities of a shiba with the exception of the long hair like that?

    @BrewSter The longhair gene is recessive, so you need two copies of it for one to have long hair. It's rare in Shibas but it does happen, and yes, they are purebred.
