hi all, as ive been posting ive learnt that theres a few people here who are lucky enough to have a shiba from marlene and cyril at "BUSHLAND" please introduce yourselves and tell us who your shibas are, and was also wondering if any where sired by my baby "tartchi" or related to him as id love to see his prodigy. this is by no means and exclusive club nor is it meant to be offensive or anything, all shibas are exceptional and there are many great breeders, sherae, takkirra shintoshibas, snowstars, monarkin, you get my drift, i was just curious about how many of us own shibas from the same kennel, as they are "relatives" so to speak and think it would be nice to see how they all grew up and see the new babies etc. most of you would know "tiori" and "tartchi", but id like to know as many of the bushland shibas as i can, and learn about their trails and tribulations.. and if any other bushland babies are obsessed with thier kong and good o's... lol
5 kids and a shiba, call me crazy, but i wouldnt change if for the world
As you know in exactly 10 days we will have our two beautiful babies from Bushland!!! Their father is Kalatara Drummer boy, he is stunning and has done quite well in showing and his father Sharae Bashi San is now a stud and show dog in Japan i believe!! I cant wait to see if there are more people who are lucky enough to have obtained a Shiba (or two!) from this wonderful kennel. :)

Tsumo isn't a bushland puppy but I know he has Bushland blood in him. I can't quite remember and will have to look at his papers when we get back to Melbourne (I'm on holiday in America and missing him heaps! from memory, i think his grandfather was CH Gogatsu Kessaku but I could be wrong.
Would absolutely love to have a shiba meet up in Melbourne if anyone is interested. Tsumo has met a few older shibas at the farmer's market but they don't live very close by and most of the time their owners don't bring them along as they don't like other dogs :(
Join the "Shiba Inu Pet Owners" group on FB! There are already some other Shiba Inu owners, located all around Australia, on there who would like to arrange 'meet-ups'!
@orienta !!!!! i have been admiring your shibas from online for a long time now!! Congratulations on all your wins this past year! Good luck in all your Shiba endeavours for 2012 :D:D

Lol I only came back on here for u koyuki. I'll check out the fb page. How's everything going? Can't believe the pups are so big and totally gorgz. How are the Kids going with them? Bet they are best friends. Tartchi Is great he lost a bit of weight probably due to the huge ammounts of exercise he is doing,( he was at 12.3kg when I got him so a bit of weight loss didnt hurt as he was solid) but he has put most of it back on so he is at a healthy 11.5kg and loves doing his obstacle course the kids have even got him jumping thru hula hoops lol. He loves his kennel now and is even friends with a chicken. Although he isnot allowed to spend hours inside any more as he is peeing and marking everything, he wasnt like that, I guessed it was his way of telling the cats he is boss as trying to eat one didnt seem to work lol we also got attacked by a staffy on the way to the supermarket, tartchi was fine (tooK him to vet for check up anyway) but he left his mark on the staffys face alright, mummy's little tough guy. I AM JUST LOVING HIM... it makes my day when i wake up and go to make my morning coffee and there he is sitting outside the window with the biggest "smile" on his face looking at me, yep he does get a treat and hug before i even turn the kettle on.. i thought the shiba smile was just an exaggeration, but he really does smile at me i even managed to capture one in a photo... (if i could post em, gotta get that photo bucket, its a must post pic)..

@ladyrita, nice to meet you and yeah a meet would be great, my boy is socialised as long as your not a staffy.. cant meet for 6 weeks tho my son just fractured his foot and will be in plaster for 6 weeks and tartchi loves going out with him, so will have to wait till he's back on his feet. so many beautiful shibas in the one place how wonderful it will be.

He sounds like such a smart boy, and i would love to see the photo of him smiling! Yep the kids, especially my toddler are best best friends with the puppies. Every morning she jumps outta my bed and calls out to them its so cute she calls koyuki 'koyu' and takeo 'keo' and runs into the kitchen, gets on the floor with them and gives them 'puppy kisses' which basically involves her licking their faces like they do to her lol kinda gross, but she also feeds them treats on her own accord and gets on her hands and knees and drinks water from their bowl and steals dry food outta their mouths to pretend to be a puppy and eat it lol. Our 6 yr old pretends to be the 'mummy dog' and will play outside with them for ages on all fours running around yapping its so funny. They have such big personalities and are so gentle and loving with kids its beautiful. I can imagine tartchi playing with your kids and jumping hoops i hope mine grow up as smart as him! Xo

hahaha, thanks its amazing what they can get him to do with for a hand full of good o's no definately nothn gross with "puppy kisses" i tell tartchi to "kiss mummy" and it is tempting to give him one back, yeah my twins are into feedn tartchi too, and i have seen them try the dog biscuits and schmakos and will keep giving the water and food bowls untill a drink or nibble has been had, they also get in his kennel and take him for walks around the yard, its so cute.. you hear stories about shibas not being good with little kids but i wouldnt trade tartchi for anything, you show me dog who gets led around by a 2 year without pulling or knocking them down, tolerates being tipped out of their kennel while sleeping, like yours, tolerates being force fed and sharing their food and letting toddlers eat with them.. think it has a lot to do with the breeding aswell as the up bringing, we both have shibas, that i will proudly say, love children... YEY US.. i will also say that its clear thet we ARE doing everything right, happy healthy dogs, happy caring kids :)

Lol yes coffee often saves my day! And yes we are very lucky to have such happy well adjusted shibas and kids :-P its such a pity you live so far away, how cool would it be to take the dogs and kids out to all meet up and play! How cute that the twins walk him around the yard, i cant imagine how loved he must feel, marlene must be so happy he has gone to such a great home! Poor dear i talked her ears off on the phone when i was updating her on the puppies, i am just so happy to have them! :-):-):-)
