Looking to adopt a B&T shiba

I posted earlier that we're in the process of getting a second shiba. I was over the moon and getting ready for her coming until two days ago... We received a phone call that the owner had decide to hold off the adoption. It was such a blow. I was just looking at the bed we bought for her and unable to accept the fact that she won't be here anymore (sniff..sniff)

We're just going to start from the beginning again. We would be grateful if you know any B&T shiba up for adoption. We have a 8 month old red shiba - Saku, he is very even-tempered and medium energy level.

Most of B&T shibas I found on the rescue are either required to be adopted locally or has to be the only dog. I know it's going to be a loooooog wait and we're willing to wait - but please if you know anyone, any B&T shiba, or reputable breeders who has B&T shiba, please let us know. Really appreciate it.Saku & Mina's mom

Have you tried the NYC Shiba Rescue?

They get in a few Black and Tans in and also post courtesy listings for owners and shelters looking for homes.

MASR (Mid-Atlantic Shiba Rescue) has a courtesy listing for a B&T female. She is in Louisiana, but I am sure you could get help getting her north.

Thank you guys for looking it up for me.
I contacted MASR about Takara already. She does not get along with other dogs hence, they can't consider my application. I also checked with NYC shiba rescue, Remi is in pending adoption, another B&T is 9 years old. The age difference is too big, I don't know if the 9 year old would get along with my 8 month old shiba...Saku & Mina's mom

Check the courtesy listings on NYC Shiba Rescue, there are a few black and tans there as well that you could consider
  • If you check the national shiba rescue, there are tons of B&T's available (link here: Any reason why it has to be a B&T? Other colors are adorable as well!

Saw this ad for a b&t young male in Danbury CT (2 yrs old). Don't know if this is what your looking for. I did rehome my Penny from eaby classifieds.
