thanks Inu Ryuu :) Rocky is a sweetie he spent 2 hours just going around the house checking everything out, and he is another cuddler hehe. trying to figure out what color type he is though, some papers I got said pinto/sesame and others say a blonde black and tan. i think he has a bit more red in him then I thought he would have with those descriptions... Ah well he's a sweetie just the same :D
He is cute but what do you mean by a foster shiba? Is it like keeping the puppy until he finds a permanent home, like they do at the pound and with rescue groups?
rocky is cute! I'd say he's a red the white on his legs have a lot of it, but don't think enough to be considered a pinto when shiba are pups they sometimes have a black muzzle which fade to red once they age, but sometimes it doesn't which I think is a fault.
cute guys either way I'm no shiba expert so can't really say.. Hope he finds a good home soon.
@Britigerx, yes I'm fostering him for a Shiba Rescue Group (Midwest Shiba Inu Rescue) so he stays with me till he finds a forever home
@Saya, Yeah I don't see where they got the pinto from I was expecting him to be a color closer to my cream (Toshiro) but he looks alot more like a red to me.... He is a cutie either way :D
The papers I got on him say 1-2 but he seems younger to me, I have to get him microchipped tomorrow so figure I'll ask the vet what she thinks age wise... He'll be up for adoption after I can think of a write up on him and of course after chipping.... I plan on doing a write up sometime this week though :)
Ok, apparently he is listed as 9 months on the health certificate (mine got mixed up with someone else's) I think that age is more of the right estimate :D
Aww, he's so cute! He does look Pinto, though not "obviously" Pinto. His white markings aren't as extreme as most Pinto Shibas I've seen, but he does bear a resemblance to them.
He's so funny with that mismarked muzzle....it makes him look like he's snarling just a bit, even though it's just the dark on his muzzle! Cute boy--hope you find a forever home for him soon, and yay for you for taking in a foster!
Thanks everyone yeah Rocky and Lena are best buds they stick together like glue and pretty much have the same attitude, I love watching them play, think Lena's happy to have another dog play tug with her. Jackie (my first foster) used to do it all the time, and Toshiro usually lets it go whenever "Princess" Lena wants it lol
