We have an update on our 6 newest foster dogs and it's not good news. All 4 puppies have luxating patellas and at least 2 will need corrective surgery. The smaller black & tan pup is at least partially blind and may suffer from neurological problems. The sesame pup has something bad going on with his teeth that our vet is looking at more closely with a specialist. The puppies mom has grade 3 luxating patellas that will need to be fixed. And the oldest female at 7 years is the lucky one health wise but is still going to need an extensive dental with extractions. Any donations towards the care of these dogs would be greatly appreciated as it is likely going to cost at least $4000-$5000 in medical bills not including the routine vaccinations and spay/neuter surgeries. We will post updates for these dogs as we learn more about their conditions. Donations can be made through our website www.savingshibas.com. Thank you!

Pics from their FB page. Poor puppies and adults. :( Neurological and LP stuff. I hope they get care they need and foster or homes soon.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention Saya.

I think threads like this one is all the evidence we need on why we should never support puppy mills and BYBs.

Very sad. All the more reason why puppy mills, pet brokers, and the pet stores that keep these shady individuals in business need to be shut down.

So glad there are rescues like SIRA to help the poor puppies though! Donated! :)
