Ohio's new Puppy Mill Law

Went into effect Jan 1, 2014. From what this video tells, over 100 people have signed up to register, affects people who buy/sell over 60 puppies a year. They have to send in photos, do a background check, agree to inspections, and have a regular vet. Not sure how this will hurt puppy mills since there are always ways around the photos and vets, but if this could lessen the profits of a few puppy mills, maybe they'll get out of the business.

60 puppies a year is still a lot considering a litter only has 6 at the max?

That is almost a litter per month.

Lets just hope there is a good system behind the inspections. IE - the person who inspects and the person who validates the license aren't the same people. So there is some kind of system in place that won't allow corruption.
