This story really breaks my heart... A man's daughter was tragically murdered at 17 and she had a Shiba Inu named Ezzy. Ezzy escaped from her fenced yard 3 weeks ago and the man believes she may have been stolen. They've had tips but Ezzy is still missing. She was last seen in his yard in Kent near E Smith and Temperence Ave. If anyone has seen a Shiba matching this description, please call (425) 281-0329.

I have to say, there were usually only 2-3 Shibas lost/in rescue each year up here for the last 5 years or more, but lately, it's been like 15, or 20, all within a few months. It's crazy.

  • Oh man, this one's really tough. I hope they find the dog. :(

(And on a side note, the Kent news very seriously needs a new writer. that was terribly written!)

  • I find it a little hard to believe that someone took her. Most Shibas won't let a stranger get close to them, much less touch them.
Or maybe I'm just really hoping humans aren't that evil.
This is tragic and makes me sad for everyone involved. I'm hoping that some older couple outside of Kent found her and don't realize that the dog they have is being searched for by a man who's already lost so much.
(PS: @shibamistress Who wrote that confusing, jumbled mess of an article and why were they ever hired to do anything that required writing or even simply communicating in any form? That is just awful!)

fisticuffs some shiba inu do love strangers.. Saya loves meeting people and if she was on a tie out she could been easily taken. Who knows maybe she slipped out of her harness and escaped.

Saya will bark at someone knew if they come on my yard, but after a bit approaches friendly.

Shibas are all different. Kaji loves people. He'd go anywhere with anyone. Taisho doesn't like male strangers but he'll respond warmly to females. One time, when he got loose, a stranger brought him home to my mom in her car! He just jumped right into the stranger's car. Sheba dislikes all strangers, but we're working on that. If you watch the video, the owner said all that was left in the yard was a harness and the tie, so it is possible someone took her. Or she is a very talented escape artist, which is likely, given that she was probably wanting to go home. I'm hoping someone nice found her and gets word of where she belongs so she can be returned.

@sunyata that craigslist ad was taken down the next day so I assumed they had already found the owner... the dog does look similar though. I'll bump the other post just in case.

Maybe start a new thread. It's a new individual case. I hope he is found soon.

  • Could one of the Mods pass the Craigslist posting for the little guy to Lindsayt? She is the organizer for the Seattle Shiba Inu Meetup.
  • I changed the title...
