L’Oréal® is proud to present the 6th Annual “Because Your Dog Is Worth It Too” Day, located on the grounds of our facility in Cranbury, NJ. With over 5,000 dogs and their human companions, there are many activities to enjoy while supporting Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure of Central and South Jersey. To date, we have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help fight breast cancer.
The Komen Mission: Together we make a difference!
ABOUT SUSAN G. KOMEN FOR THE CURE
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure, we have invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill our promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world. For more information about Susan G. Komen for the Cure, breast cancer, visit www.komen.org or call 1-800 I’M AWARE.
THE PROMISE
The Susan G. Komen for the Cure promise: to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality of care for all and energizing science to find the cures.
THE VISION
The Central and South Jersey vision: to affect a meaningful reduction in the percentage of late stage breast cancer diagnoses through aggressive education and screening initiatives.
L’Oreal® Paris Thanks You. A message from the employees of L’ORÉAL® Paris:
Six years ago, we lost two co- workers to breast cancer. As a team, we felt the loss deeply. Inspired by our colleagues’ courage, we knew that we wanted to do our part to make a difference. We knew we could make a difference by supporting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. We are proud to present our 6th Annual “Because Your Dog is Worth it Too” Day. We would like to thank all of our attendees, volunteers, and dog community vendors that have helped us in support of this cause. To date, we have raised over $400,000 for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Central and South Jersey affiliate. Most of those proceeds are a result of this “fun and whacky” dog/owner event that couples two different causes into one great experience. Thank you very much for being a part of this special day and sharing our commitment in support of this cause.Amanda, Chris, Yoshi and soon to be Emi
I dont know if I can make it. My car hasn't been too reliable lately. But luckily I have a 4 day weekend that weekend. I'll have to look into it a little more. I'll fwd the info too though. You can call me K (human) Her name is Stella (Shiba)
When I was looking into new cars and Toyotas, I was considering a Yaris, then I got Stella.
I've always been a nissan guy myself, even considered Sylvia (<3 240's before they hit the mainstream) as a name long before I knew I'd be getting Stella. I am looking into trying to get an 08-10 Xterra. I was considering a used FJ, but even used it is out of my range at the moment. You can call me K (human) Her name is Stella (Shiba)
LOL I've considered it a few years back. But now I want to move up to something with a little more room. With 2 dogs I'd like to have the room for both, and I have been interested in off-roading and camping/hiking, so I'd like something that I could cross some trails with. And I just got into Skiing this past winter, so I also want something I can take to the mountains and carry my gear.
So it comes down to room, 4x4 or AWD options, and durablity off the streets. Unfortunately Scion doesn't offer anything for that portion of the market. You can call me K (human) Her name is Stella (Shiba)
We are a Subaru family all the way. I am just about ready to trade in my '07 Volvo for one. Something about the outback stationwagon that I just love.Jessica “Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring - it was peace.”-Milan Kundera
If I could, I would be driving a STi, but that and the Evo are also out of my range, LOL
Thing is I am also getting into business with a buddy of mine that does Mobile DJing. Weddings, Sweet 16s, Mitzfas, Anniversaries (and divorces, LOL), Banquets, fundraisers... So the room for all kinds of gear as well as the dogs with the ability for a little off road trails. A friend of mine thinks I should get a Jeep. I am still thinking Nissan, LOL.You can call me K (human) Her name is Stella (Shiba)
Hey I was wondering if any one was planning on actually going to this event? My husband and I will be in the area with Saru, but we are not sure if we want to go or not yet. It'll probably be a last minute decision for us. But if we do go is there a planned place to meet up for shiba owners or do we just hope to meet people there on a chance encounter?
I have never been to this event before so I dont know the setup or anything but we should all def meetup. Bella and Yoshi will be carpooling together (no Yoshi is not driving) and we should be getting there at 9am. I guess we could meetup by the front entrance. I think in a pic I saw there was a big blowup dog over there lol. If you are interested in meeting up send me an email and I can give you my cell #. Email is amandapandatc@gmail.comAmanda, Chris, Yoshi and soon to be Emi

We might go as it is a fifteen minute drive for us, but we both have a ton of work so it willbe a last minute decision.Janie, Brian, and Violet (the puppy monster)
K - my boyfriend just got an Evo (sold his wrx). I wish he hadn't! I wanted him to get a more suitable car to hold both of our snowboarding gear and the pup! lol :)
Anyone who is going to this show make sure to take lots of pictures! Can't wait to see :)Julie (human) loved by Mika (shiba) - Mika's Blog
Oh was that you Emi the only cream shiba that we saw there????? Yoshi was dressed up as a "Jersey Shore" dog at that moment lolAmanda, Chris, Yoshi and soon to be Emi
I'm not sure I saw you and Yoshi. The only Shiba that we bumped into was an older red. I got there rather late. Did you see us? :DLauren- The Girl | Emi- The Shiba
I think we saw you. We saw a very cute cream shiba with a girl with brown hair. We were by the costume contest area. I wasnt too talkative at the moment because I was so hot and cranky and Yoshi wouldn't sit still for one minute. That guy didnt get hot or tired at all the whole day.Amanda, Chris, Yoshi and soon to be Emi
I'm short and blonde. I must have missed the costume contest area, although I may have walked right by and didn't see. You should have said hi! It was really hot though, phew, but luckily Emi was really good. My Aussie was with me too. If you happened to see a Shiba followed by a blue merle Aussie, most likely it was me. :)Lauren- The Girl | Emi- The Shiba
No it wasnt you that I saw then. I saw a cream shiba with a brown haired girl and no aussie. Do you live in that area? You should come to the Central NJ Shiba meet.Amanda, Chris, Yoshi and soon to be Emi
I'm in northwest New Jersey but I'll drive anywhere to meet fellow Shibas and owners. I actually went to the last Central NJ Shiba meet! I'm looking forward to going to the next and making it a monthly thing. Hopefully I'll see you there? :)Lauren- The Girl | Emi- The Shiba
Yes we will be at the one on Sept 18 but we will have to miss the one in Oct because we are getting a new puppy and then hopefully she will be ready to come out to the one in Nov. Her name will be Emi too :)Amanda, Chris, Yoshi and soon to be Emi
Sept 18th... Hopefully I can take Stella to that one... She *might* be starting her first heat cycle, so I have to watch her closely. If not then my next one might be celebrating my 1yr with the group in November, LOL
* - I stress might, because she looks to be showing some signs, but not sure. She's 19 wks today. You can call me K (human) Her name is Stella (Shiba)
